We are thrilled to let you know that Rachael Taylor & the Make it in Design team will be in Liverpool hosting Sketch Doodle Draw LIVE! on Monday May 16, 2016
These FREE, informal, meet, greet & sketch sessions with Rachael are designed to:
>> give you an opportunity to meet and chat with Rachael & watch her at work
>> help you loosen up, experiment and be spontaneous as Rachael always encourages this way of working, strongly believing there are no mistakes – so come along & just have fun
>> show you how to look for patterns in your surroundings where you’re guaranteed to see everyday things in a more beautiful way
>> bring creativity to the community & show how drawing, sketching & doodling can be a useful way to de-stress in our everyday hectic lives & be enjoyable for all the family too
>> give you a chance to get your work featured on the Make it in Design site & network with like-minded creatives!
We’d love you to join us anytime between 12:30pm & 15:30pm in the serene setting of the beautiful Palm House in Sefton Park – a Victorian glasshouse displaying plants from around the world.
In this BOTANICS themed live drawing event, Rachael will show you how she gathers pattern inspiration from nature – one of her favourite subject matters! She’ll also explain how her early signature style of layering, textures & quirky hand drawn line-work developed & how these nature-inspired patterns have led to some of her most popular work to now feature on many different products including homeware, stationery, textiles & many others which are sold around the world.
Bring your own sketch pad, pencils & pens or we’ll be handing complimentary supplies out on the day.
